ENGIE are recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to be based at Kings Yard, 1 Waterden Road, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, E15 2GP. On offer is a competitive industry salary and high quality benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* To upkeep and manage project drawing registers

* Review and Approval of Design Engineer and Graduate calculations and drawings as well as technical documentation

* Liaison with both internal and external clients, contractors and suppliers

* Engagement in both internal and external design meetings, technical reviews, HAZID and HAZOP studies

* Creation of Piping & instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Engineering Schematics as well as conceptual layouts and designs for estimating and sales support in 2D AutoCAD

* Full 3D modelling and detailed design of energy centre, CHP, boiler, chiller and district heating network installations in 3D AutoCAD & CADWorx Plant Professional

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

* Extensive experience in a relevant field or similar role

* Working towards CEng Chartered Engineer status

* A thorough working knowledge of relevant CIBSE Guides, British Standards, BSRIA, IGEM and other industry authority publications

* An ability to size and specify valves, instruments and piping components as well as major plant mechanisms such as boilers, CHP engines, pumps, heat exchangers and chillers

* Experience with the creation and detailing of Bills of Material for plant equipment, valves and instrumentation

* Detailed knowledge of the design and configuration of boiler plant, CHP engines and chillers

* Experience of site visits and surveys to collect data and commission support

* Experience of undertaking piping stress analysis using Caesar II or similar

Desirable - Not Essential:

* CEng Chartered Engineer status and engaged on a programme of Continual Professional Development

* Supplementary safety and industry specific training (such as CSCS card, IOSH, CIBSE courses)

* Supplementary courses and qualifications in AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant Professional or other industry leading CAD and modelling packages

* A knowledge of specialist design areas such as steam systems, PED, ATEX, DSEAR & COMAH
