Our client provides mechanical, hydraulic and electrical engineering expertise to the Subsea and Oil & Gas markets through the design and build of bespoke systems for the laying of subsea cables and umbilicals.
Working within a multi disciplined team the purpose of this role is to assemble, install, maintain, test and dismantle complex machinery and mechanisms.
Shaping of mechanical components and equipment, material removal using hand tools and machine methods.
Prepare machine tools and equipment for use.
Set and adjust machine tools and equipment.
Assemble mechanical components and equipment to meet required specifications.
Position and install mechanical plant and equipment.
Disassemble mechanical plant and equipment.
Read engineering drawings.
Ability to mark out.
Create jig and fixtures to aid assembly / dis-assembly.
Create components and modify existing components from basic hand sketches and verbal instructions.
Fabrication and installation of high pressure hydraulic pipework.
Pressure testing of pipework including recording results
At times the work and working hours will vary dependent upon specific project requirements and the role may involve national and international travel.
To be considered for this role you will be apprentice trained and have worked within a similar environment
