Business Development Manager

Hampshire Based

9am – 5pm - Monday - Friday - Travel as required with the Business needs

£30k - £45k per annum + Commission and Uncapped OTE

My client, a technology, telecoms and software company that has grown YOY and works with large contact centres nationally providing the highest quality technology for their users is looking for a new business BDM to grow their business.

The purpose of the role is to plan, implement and conduct lead generation and sales activities in order to meet or exceed sales objectives through the direct sales channel.


* Generating sales revenue through direct acquisition whilst creating a pipeline of new business opportunities

* Building & maintaining commercially sustainable account relationships and maximising on those to drive revenue

* Driving sales revenue through direct acquisition

* Responsible for identifying, prospecting and working to secure new logo accounts

* Educating the market to the benefits of products & services on social media and at exhibitions and industry events

* Negotiate client contracts and agreements

* Collaborate with Marketing driving key sales & marketing metrics for all direct selling activity

* Build, manage & maintain a substantial pipeline of qualified opportunities

* Serve as each client’s commercial point of contact

* Evaluate opportunities and prepare proposals in a timely manner

* Maintain CRM for opportunities, recording accurate & regularly updated information

* Maintain suitable reporting/account plans to manage internal stakeholder expectations

* Track & report progress against targets and take necessary action to refocus efforts if required

* Demonstrate effective and collaborative use of all available resources

* Developing leads and contacts through cold calling when required

* Communicate competitor/industry relevant information to management & marketing

You will be a strong new business developer who is not scared to get in front of decision makers in large businesses who have large contact centres and are looking to upscale and improve their productivity and services with at least 3 years B2B experience delivering values of over £20k in a fast moving and dynamic environment where you can really deliver a large pipeline and work autonomously for the business.

You must have a passion for Technology and enjoy solution selling!
