We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers and provide technical support to customers including design, development and prototypes.

This is an exciting opportunity and would be ideal for someone who is driven and keen to develop a long-term career in Engineering Sales and Account Management.

Responsibilities:

* Identify sales opportunities and seek out and develop new business customers in order to maximise sales growth

* Review and understand the customers’ product applications and their consequent needs from engineering & commercial perspective

* Meet and exceed set sales targets and sales activities

* Assess technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions

* Understand and keep abreast of competition, their issues, products and pricing

* Provide support and day to day account management to allocated customers

* Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required

* Assist other departments in resolving customer issues

* Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

* Prepare written presentations, customer demonstrations, costs saving analyses, and product quotations

* Regularly log all sales leads and manage these on a day to day basis

* Assist with the design of custom-made products

* Update and provide accurate sales order and forecasting figures

* Learn, assimilate and keep up to date with industry technology

* Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Travel: Frequently required by car or by airplane.

Qualifications:

* University Degree or equivalent

* Customer facing experience

* B2B sales experience

* Degree in Engineering desirable

* Min. 3 years of proven work experience as Sales Engineer or relevant role desirable

Knowledge / Skills:

* Proficient with Microsoft Office

* Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with new customers

* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities

* ability to work with fundamental business math, such as discounts interest, proportions and percentages

* ability to read and interpret documents such as technical procedures and contracts

* ability to prioritise and schedule workload to ensure completion when faced with deadlines

* Proven ability to handle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining strong attention to detail

* Excellent work ethic and a strong desire to be successful

* Full UK Driving License and own vehicle
