I am working exclusively on behalf of my client who operate within a range of industries including aerospace and automotive, and are providers to some of the largest engineering companies worldwide.They are now seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

Overview:

The Laboratory Technician role is a generalist Laboratory role, conducting day to day testing and monitoring of the chemical production environment as per the testing schedules. Working with the team, the Lab Tech will perform the day to day testing and monitoring of samples; escalating issues and concerns as per the escalation process.

Responsibilities:

1.Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual testing

2.Communicate test results and escalate issues when required

3.Make additions to process solutions in a safe manner as per H&S instructions

4.Support Production and Inspection teams by making recommendations in order to close technical issues

5.Supporting quality and production during internal and external audits.

6.To ensure 5S principles are followed

7.To look after laboratory equipment maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility

8.To order and maintain stock and resources

Requirements & Experience:

• Ability to work methodically and systematically in a laboratory environment

• Ability to track and record data using relevant software and systems

• Strong laboratory knowledge within an industrial / production environment

• Ability to take direction, learn and apply knowledge and skills within a changing operating environment

• Commitment to learning and the ability to apply knowledge in order to create solutions and resolve technical issues
