Job Title: Traffic Management Operatives
Location: Various within 50 mile radius of main operations office.
Contracted Hours: 45 + Per Week Normally working these sort of hours 0700 – 1715 Mon - Fri
Remuneration: Attractive annual salary depending experience/skills/quals.
Overview of Role
Working in the public highway, perform minor maintenance to telecom assets (chamber lids, street cabinets etc). Work within the network asset management team to assist or repair cabinets, chambers and set up, implement and orchestrate traffic management with civils teams when required for various civils works. Provide traffic management services to assigned project, at prescribed times including out of hours working undertaking role in compliance with defined standards as outlined in the ‘red book’. Reporting to and work with the area supervisor and co-ordinators
Read and fully understand safety at street works and road works code of practice (the red book) • Have a good understanding of high speed traffic management set ups where your role requires you to do so • Attend 2-hour safety call outs and set up Signing/lighting and Guarding • Work with other civils teams, or alone assisting in footway and carriageway works • Understand and undertake work in line with all Company method statements and procedures (including geo site) • Must be able to understand and work all types of temporary traffic lights • Carry out and explain on site risk assessments • Set up temporary two-way traffic light signal jobs to the red book and pink book specification • Will need to carry out two way stop and go to the correct requirements plus able to install give and take systems to the red book requirements • Install road narrows systems to the red book requirements and install priority systems to the red book requirements
Have good communication skills and be able to liaise with contractors on site to fulfil there working needs • Be competent in understanding and operating against key legislative obligations • Ensure the safety of yourself, the workforce, the public, or any other person effected by your duties and responsibilities • Correctly install multiphase traffic light systems on all types of roads • Carry out three way stop and go on all types of roads • Carry out and supervise four way stop and go on all types of roads
Lantra 12D M1 & M2 Card • M5 – Lantra Accreditation •
Experience in setting out road & lane closures, 2 way & Multiphase traffic signals • Full UK driving Licence
Minimum of one years’ experience in the traffic management industry • Strong, effective communication
skills • A good understanding of 12D rural roads traffic light set ups • Held 12D M1/M2 Lantra card for a
minimum of six months • Keen to learn and work with others

Regions such as Cambs, Beds, Bucks, Herts, Essex, Kent, Berks, London etc.
