CCS | Compass Corporate Services are delighted to be partnering with an established, specialist healthcare provider who are actively seeking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their growing team.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the day to day accounts, processing and preparation of monthly reports. The role will also include forecasting and budgeting whilst working closely with the senior management and executive team.

Reporting into the Financial Controller this role focuses on the running and development of the management accounting function, improving processes, systems and controls to equip the finance team to deliver timely reporting and insightful analysis. This role will provide decision support and business efforts to a wide range of stakeholders, help embed a sound planning approach and facilitate tight cost control.

The role is responsible for:

Production of accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements and performance reports delivered to an agreed timetable. To include the development of comprehensive reconciliation processes to ensure the integrity of the financial statements.

Maintain effective system controls to ensure data integrity within the accounting systems and develop clear standard operating procedures for team members to follow.

Support the Financial Controller with preparations for the statutory financial reporting process ensuring compliance with relevant financial reporting standards and UK GAAP for all entities. Ensure all reporting and filing deadlines are adhered to.

Develop a sound understanding of all financial and associated systems, acting as a key contact point and ensuring agreed service levels are maintained and issues resolved promptly.

Utilising system skills and business knowledge, develop and improve financial reporting and management information to enable any remedial action to be taken promptly and business decisions taken with greater confidence.

Analysis and presentation of financial performance and results to the Finance Director and Financial Controller, demonstrating a sound knowledge and understanding of significant trends and balance movements.

Bring finance to the business, providing support to site/business managers in all financial matters and build effective relationships with NHS finance and accounts teams.

Essential Criteria

ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified

A proven track record of managing and developing teams

Positive enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude

Proven track record of succeeding in a deadline driven environment
