A great opportunity has recently arisen to join a fantastic company in the heart of Bristol for an experienced iOS developer. You’ll be joining a successful and energetic team in great offices within a dynamic environment.

After a key phase of development and success our client is keen to add another significant iOS developer to the team to help the team support the further clients and to help strengthen the existing team.

As part of team you’ll have the following responsibilities:

• Lead the technical development and delivery of iOS and cross platform projects, packages of work and individual tasks to agreed deadlines

• Provide solutions to any iOS issues arising for supported products

• Work with other Software Engineers in providing realistic time estimations and in identifying and resolving any completion risks

• Utilise all resources effectively to ensure that no duplication of work or code occurs and works efficiently

• Create specification documents by providing accurate technical information and supported research findings

• Ensure that all work undertaken either extends or improves the current functionality and preserves the customer experience, with no negative impact on the existing system

• Use iOS frameworks, Swift and Object-C to create functional interfaces based on design specification documents

Ideally the successful developer will have the following experience:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial object-oriented development, preferably as part of a development team working on a variety of projects

• A minimum of 3 years iOS development experience with demonstrable apps released on the App Store

• Excellent knowledge of iOS frameworks, Swift and Object-C

• Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and device sync strategies and protocols

• Demonstrable understanding of all programming paradigms and memory management

• A provable track record of the consistent professional and timely delivery of projects

• Demonstrable experience of working on mission-critical web projects under strict time and budget constraints

Desirable Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Java, C# and C/C++

• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and PHP

• The ability and drive to develop skill sets in other areas of development
