A fantastic opportunity has arisen with my client for a Software Engineer who specialises in IoT Gateway technology.
My client has been established for over 90 years and has a fantastic reputation across Europe for innovation and product development in the energy efficient intelligent lighting sector. With a real enthusiasm on their people’s progression and development, they now need someone who is career minded and has a similar ethos. For the right person, this could be an amazing opportunity to take the next step in your career.
Your main responsibility will be to develop software for their IoT based platform. Joining an established team you will help develop software which enables their systems, deployed globally, to collect data from buildings which is then analysed to provide insights such as occupancy rates, space utilization, energy consumption to building owners and tenants. They also use the collected information for various machine learning and AI based algorithms which can predict malfunctioning devices and future occupancy predictions.
You will be responsible for the designing, coding, testing and documenting the gateway software. We heavily use server-less architecture and managed services in our solutions and we would expect you to be somewhat familiar with the technology platform of at least one of the major cloud providers.
Does this sound like a role for you? If so, we need to talk. Call Mark Clark on (phone number removed) today.
• Experience in software development using Node.JS & Python,
• Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Experience of development on a Linux platform.
Also – these would be desirable but not essential
• Some experience in C++.
• Familiarity with Docker and Rabbit MQ.
• Professional experience with IoT devices, preferably connecting to AWS.
• Control systems applications
• Experience in agile methodologies for software development.
• Network programming, wireless technologies & large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with high-level object-oriented and scripting programming languages.
You will need to be an experienced coder with understanding of algorithmic complexity, data structures and object-oriented programming along with modern design patterns. As well as this, my client are looking for someone who is passionate about their role, a team player and someone who is open to try new things and think outside the box.
In return, you can expect to receive a generous package, not just a competitive salary and company bonus scheme but also a variety of benefits that will show you that this could well be the role and company you have been looking for.
If you feel you have the skills and ability to perform this role for a growing and dynamic company then send in your CV or call (phone number removed)
