POSITION: Steelwork Fabricator & Welder

SALARY: £25,000

BENEFITS: Company Pension, Free onsite parking available, FTE 28 days Holiday allowance including Public Holidays, Staff Discounts

HOURS: Full time - Working hours flexible minimum 15 hours/week up to 47.5 hours, 7.00am - 5.00pm with ½ hour lunch, Monday – Friday dependant on current workload.

Due to continued success the company is seeking a Steelwork Fabricator & Welder. Working with the Steelwork Team Leader you will be an important part of the manufacturing team, fabricating structural steelwork for house builders. This is a growing part of the business and the company is looking to expand the fabrication department in view of meeting an increasing local and regional demand.

Proof of previous Coded certification or similar welding qualification must be shown to access this role.

JOB ROLE (not limited to):

Carry out all aspects of fabrication, drilling & welding, including final painting as required for structural steelwork orders manufactured under BSEN1090.

Offload incoming steel deliveries from suppliers.

Ensure adequate stock levels of welding consumables etc & advise when stock is low.

Assist with other duties as required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Self-starter – can achieve tasks on your own initiative.

Counterbalance forklift licence would be an advantage.

Welder codes to BSEN1090 will need to be achieved for all popular weld types. The company will provide training & certification.

Good communication skills.

Proactive approach to process improvement and efficiency in the workshop.

Ability to manage and prioritise workload, completing tasks to job-sheet parameters.

Always prepared to work as an enthusiastic team member.
