Accountant - Small Business Expert

Full-time - Hybrid

Location: London

Salary: £60,000 - £90,000 + package

Exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to enter the fintech space, a pioneer in the field of tax and accounting tech and delivering disruptive new technology and services to millions of potential customers in the UK.

Looking for an experienced qualified accountant. In your role, you will be joining an existing team of UX designers and developers to launch their latest product - automating tax calculations for micro entities and sole traders.

The following skills/experience is essential:

• An accounting and tax expert who is confident in the preparation and filing process of corporation and income tax (focus on small businesses is a plus).
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns through Making Tax Digital (MTD).
• Preparing and submitting Corporation tax and income tax returns.
• AAT (level 3 or above) IAB, ICB or ACCA part qualified.
• You can communicate tax and accounting effectively and simple language to a team that has little or no knowledge of bookkeeping and taxes.
• You are ambitious and creative when it comes to problem solving and have a deep affinity for technological processes - assisting the team in translating accounting and tax rules into clever code that automates processes for their clients.
• A passion for accounting.
• You have experience in dealing with customers directly and help solving more complex tax situations.
• You have an analytical mindset that can break down complex legislation into simple step by step processes.
