Lead Engineer - Up to £130k base - JVM

Would you be interested in working for a boutique consultancy building machine learning platforms and products used by global brands?

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technical leader with extensive experience in solution design, architecture, leading best practices, liaising with stakeholders and implementing intricate cloud-native systems. You will be responsible for leading a team of 10 engineers, owning initiatives and you should also be comfortable navigating a range of code bases including JVM based backends and Front End React.

Offering up to £130k + additional package - the role will be on a hybrid model 2 days per week in the office in Central London.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in one or more JVM-based programming languages (Kotlin, Java, Scala or Clojure).
• Knowledge of at least one cloud service (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Strong experience implementing best practices for designing application architecture, as well as being confident in leading teams while implementing these practices.
• Acute understanding of business problems that allows discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in a fast paced environment.
• Longevity with current and previous employers.
