1st Line Service Desk Support Analyst

Additional team member required for a busy helpdesk due to company growth.

If you are passionate about IT this could be the perfect role for you - little or no commercial experience is required, but you do need to have a good understanding and interest in IT and have excellent customer service and communication skills.

The role is based 5 days per week in the office in Cambridge - close to public transport and with free parking available.

In this role the company will train you to deal with all levels of IT issues, ensuring your working day is varied and interesting.

The Role:

  • Working as part of a busy Service Desk team providing first line remote support by email, telephone or in person.
  • Undertaking varied and interesting project work for clients, giving you opportunities to extend your skills and work with other team members in the business.

Responsibilites:

  • Responsible for first-line support for clients, managing a wide variety of incoming tickets, phone calls, and enquiries.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting IT Issues through discussions and remote sessions with end users.
  • Managing security tasks such as backups for client data, password resets, site permissions etc.
  • Monitoring client Servers for anomalous behaviour, and adverse client impact, taking ownership of issues when required.
  • Identifying and applying appropriate testing methodologies to hardware and software for further analysis of existing problems.
  • Installing and configuring a range of hardware and software, both physically and remotely.

Background Required:

  • An aptitude for good customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your IT skills.
