Import & Export Specialist

Hybrid working - Harlow and remote

Main Duties

• Producing and checking essential shipping and customs documentation required for the export of goods from the UK
• To arrange collection, transportation and deliveries to and from our customers and suppliers
• To store and maintain documentation data relating to export and import
• To ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• To assist and undertake import and export administration task
• To undertake import checks for licensing approvals, customs requirements ensuring correct cost prices, commodity codes, delivery and payment terms are being used
• Audit all import and export customs documentation per shipment to ensure full compliance
• Dealing with internal customer enquires relating to orders, shipments and deliveries

Skills and experience required:

Essential

• Extensive knowledge of U.K. Export Licensing Regulations and shipping procedures
• Awareness of the International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
• Working knowledge or experience in shipping against Open General Export Licences (OGELs) and Standard Individual Export Licences (SIELs)
• Working knowledge or understanding of the UK Customs Import and Export systems and export licensing system.
