Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer
World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit an Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer subcontractor on an initial 6 month contract. This role can be worked on a 4 day week basis.
Contract Duration: 6 months initially and then ongoing.
Hourly Rate: £65.00ph (Umbrella)
Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer Job Description:
You will be responsible for developing the Real Time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems. This is a technical hands-on role and will involve designing, implementing and testing the Embedded software for the missile products.
Responsibilities:
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrable experience of hard Real Time software development
- Strong C/C++ Programming
- Ability to develop, test and integrate low level software drivers
- Generating and executing software test harness's
- Good problem-solving capability to investigate software/hardware issues
- Experience working on controlled Software environment
- Experience working in a lab environment running Embedded software
- Use of configuration control tools such as RTC
Additional useful skills include:
- Strong UML knowledge (ideally using Rhapsody)
- Experience of working with the Texas Instrument (TI) TDA4 family of devices.
- Experience of working with Python
- Competent with MS word, for reviewing and updating technical documentation.
