Senior Automation Engineer - vRealize

Hybrid: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 8 years of combined experience in programming, especially with JavaScript, Python and Java.
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell and/or Python.
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with VMware vSphere/vRealize infrastructure (vRA/vRO)
• Experience with software defined storage, NSX-V/T
• Experience with container technologies in a production environment (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Expert with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub.

Bonus Points

• Master's Degree
• Experience with developing and working with containerized applications and Linux operating system.
• Experience in programming, especially with Angular, Flask, or Django.
• Experience developing and managing RESTful API services.
• Provisioning application infrastructure experience in multi cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Driving automation into our infrastructure.
• Provisioning and managing Infrastructure components & cloud services for application workload.
• Provisioning application infrastructure components in multi cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and deploying the applications.
• Working with multiple large-scale automation projects, including the end-to-end deployment of different platforms using IaC deployment
• Crafting, implementing, and supporting deep and detailed monitoring across the DevOps pipeline including operational telemetry for our products/platforms.
• Working and continuously improving the DevOps CI/CD pipeline to provide active management of the continuous integration/continuous deployment processes. (Jenkins, GIT, Nexus)
