Senior S2P Solution Specialist

Permanent Role

Salary: £52k - £64k + excellent benefits

Location: Cardiff & remote (hybrid working) with attendance to the office as needs dictate (generally 1-2 days per month)

We require a Senior S2P Solution Specialist to use their experience and expertise to lead the proactive drive for optimum value from current and future investments in SAP Solutions, whist ensuring alignment with and aiding delivery of the Client's Business Plans. This will be achieved by working with a number of stakeholders both internal and external, including Process Owners, Business Partners, Support Teams, ITS Partners, SAP and the Client's SAP community.

Duties will include:

1. Leading the proactive drive across the business to seek opportunities to innovate business processes and associated SAP solutions to enable delivery of their Business Plan for the assigned area of expertise whilst ensuring that investments in the SAP platform are cost effective and for the long term therefore ensuring maximum benefit from spend.

2. Responsible for increasing speed of innovation and enhancement within the SAP Solutions that are included under the assigned area of expertise.

3. Eliminate problems and introduce benefit by undertaking potentially complex root cause analysis and finding innovative and fast delivery of system solutions for which there may or may not be a quick or standard solution.

4. Continually assessing the impact of emerging SAP technologies and product road maps against business process needs and interpreting business value against the Client's Business Plan for SAP stakeholders so that a clear road map can be agreed and maintained for the future of SAP Solutions within the business

5. Working with a number of stakeholders across and externally to promote "the art of the possible" relating to latest SAP technologies (HANA, Mobile, Cloud solutions etc.) understanding where the benefit of the technology can be applied to improve the performance of against the Business Plans.

6. Engaging with stakeholders across the business and ITS including Senior Managers to understand their processes, pain areas and key business drivers under the Business Plan so that any recommendations for innovation and enhancement of the SAP solutions is aligned and agreed.

7. Working with Process Owners and Business Analysts to ensure that business process requirements are clearly defined.

8. Transitioning requirements into functional definition for partner SAP development.

9. Assuring that partner delivered solutions adhere to Client (and SAP best practice) standards, including SAP Processes, SAP Configuration and SAP Customisation (bespoke development).

10. Responsible for working closely with the Support teams to provide best practice guidance and advice to ensure the maximum stability and availability of the SAP Systems already in place.

As the Senior S2P Solution Specialist you will work alongside the following:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

As the Senior S2P Solution Specialist you will possess the following:

5+ years track record of implementing and supporting SAP solutions with expert technical skills and deep understanding in SAP Source to Pay modules, Ariba and how these integrate and have inter-dependencies with other SAP modules and systems.

A recognised SAP certification or equivalent verifiable experience.

Understanding of Ariba and other SAP future technologies impacting on Source to Pay and Logistics processes - desirable

Demonstrable experience in delivering benefit by combining SAP technical competence with business and commercial awareness to improve processes or system functionality.

Ability to utilise the high level of SAP Solution knowledge and fact finding skills so that the current and future SAP landscape can be assessed and a road map recommended based on its potential for business enablement, cost reduction, performance improvement or sustainability.

Solid root cause analysis skills combined with advanced analysis and problem solving ability to translate complex problems into solutions with clearly articulated potential impacts (both threats and opportunities).

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to engage and influence across the organisation at all levels and externally.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

You will also be required to participate in the out of hours service provision
