Our Blue Chip Utilities Client is looking for a Commercial/Financial Modeller with background in Solar & Battery. This will be a 6 month + contract with around 1/2 days on site the rest remote - can be based London, Scotland, Birmingham or Reading. This role is via IR35 and must be via an Umbrella

The Senior Commercial Modeller role will actively support the Solar and Battery sector by leading the commercial and financial evaluation of new business opportunities and building business cases for future investment decisions.

Create and own the complex financial and commercial models to identify competitive advantage opportunities, deliver value, ensure bids are competitive and that investments are cognisent of the risks and opportunities.

Work across multiple functions within the Solar and Battery sectors to understand and interpret project details such as technical capability and yield, revenue market opportunities, capex costs and spend profiles, to form a robust view of project return

Experience

Commercially aware within the wider energy industry. Detailed level of understanding of UK and Ireland energy markets required to help define commercial strategies and identify risks and opportunities. Knowledge of solar and battery technologies and revenue streams. Understanding of commercial modelling best practices (FAST) and analytical techniques
