Working as part of the team at Watch House Wealth Management Ltd who are an Appointed Representative of St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paraplanner to work within a highly successful St. James’s Place Wealth Management Practice.

You will be working closely alongside the existing advisers, managing advice matters for the practice's high net worth clients.

St. James’s Place Wealth Management plc (SJP) is a leading, and highly regarded, FTSE 100 UK Wealth Management company which distributes a range of Investment,

Retirement products and financial solutions to a High Net Worth client base. SJP has Funds Under Management in excess of £100bn.

This is a well-established SJP Practice and one of the region’s most successful.

The Role - Paraplanner

Working closely alongside the existing adviser group and business manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical support to all members of the team on a daily basis.

• Handling and resolving technical enquiries.

• Reviewing broad and often complex financial planning matters on behalf of clients to support the adviser group.

• Preparing technical documentation and assessing need areas for existing client review meetings.

• Ensuring all technical queries are handled in an efficient, compliant and timely manner and seen through to completion.

• Completion of suitability assessment and reports – primarily for more complex advice matters.

• Providing support to junior paraplanners / report writers as required.

• Providing technical training and development for other staff, as required.

• You will maintain high documentation standards

• Develop a full and thorough understand of the St. James’s Place advice guidance.

The Person - Paraplanner

This is an interesting and challenging role that would suit a confident, numerate, IT proficient and driven professional individual who has sound Financial Services Technical knowledge.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• A positive, supportive and collaborative working style.

• Experience within an IFA, Wealth Management firm or related organisation.

• Be Level 4 DipPFS qualified or higher (or very close)

• Have a good technical knowledge of Taxation, Trusts, Investments and Pensions.

• It is preferable for the candidate to have knowledge or experience with Later Life Advice matters, Defined Benefit Pensions Advice and more complex estate planning (trusts, tax efficient investing etc).

• Be highly organised.

• Be comfortable dealing with a variety of differing clients.

• Work well within a team environment.

• Confident in dealing with third parties and working with appropriate discretion.
