Adecco's Property Services division North is excited to be partnering with a reputable NE Housing Provider in recruiting for a permanent Retrofit Manager to work alongside the Assets and Sustainability team in their Ashington/Durham offices.

Role Purpose

The postholder will lead the retrofit team in the provision of excellent customer service and collaboration, providing specialist advice, training and support on all matters relating to environmental sustainability.

Duties

  • Use own expertise and passion for the environment to embed improvements in carbon reduction, affordable warmth/fuel poverty and environmental sustainability throughout the process and duties.
  • Support and develop retrofit projects which utilise the correct solutions to target improvements in affordable warmth, preventing fuel poverty and increase the thermal performance of our customers homes.
  • Utilise your experience, understanding of PAS2035 and analytical skills to interpret this complex data to inform the development and delivery of retrofit and environmental sustainability programmes.
  • Lead on the management, control and successful capture of funding opportunities, including ensuring that all relevant surveys and data are captured and completed in full.
  • Implement and maintain a performance management system and environmental suite of KPI, actively benchmarking our environmental performance to drive continuous improvement
  • Support and lead on all aspects of the development and implementation of corporate strategies/policies/vision on energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, decarbonisation and affordable warmth.
  • To lead and support the assessments of the energy performance of our stock, developing and maintaining the SAP/energy database, providing in-depth analysis of data, developing options appraisals to inform our decision making processes and developing/delivering/contract administration of programmes
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to regular review and monitor the utility contracts of the organisation
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory and health& safety requirements
  • Research best practice both inside and outside the Housing/Construction sectors and identify opportunities to develop enhance and continuously improve the service

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant degree or Qualifications : Retrofit Assessor or Coordinator, Domestic Energy Assessor DEA or related to sustainability, building environment or retrofit
  • Knowledge of the social housing sustainability and decarbonisation and the relevant legislation and standards, including Decent Home Standard
  • Experience of using SAP/RdSap and an understanding of PAS2035 retrofit requirements.
  • Experience in Project Management/Contract administration
  • Experience in Environmental sustainability, including energy management.
  • Experience of delivering grant funding applications
  • Ability to understand, interpret and present complex data
  • Excellent IT Skills, including advanced Excel and Database abilities
  • UK Driving licence - able to drive between Ashington/Durham

Salary & Benefits

  • £44, 223 annual salary ( including £1800 car allowance)
  • 28 days annual leave
  • Public Sector Pension Contribution
  • 37 Hours/week
  • Hybrid work/flexible - 2/3 days office or site and the rest from home
