Logistics Support Team Lead

12 month FTC

Didcot, Oxfordshire (twice per week on-site)

Circa £34k per annum

My client is a well known Energy provider throughout the UK. You will be joining the team as a Logistics Support Team Lead to lead a team focused on managing and providing various services to schemes across the logistics function.

Key Accountabilities:

• Interface with stakeholders daily - primarily Logistics, Electricity Transmission and third-party Logistics service providers.
• Manage direct reports training, development & workload to meet the business demands.
• Produce reports of departmental Key Performance Indicators and Service Levels maintained.
• Support management to facilitate the achievement of business objectives in line with best practice.
• Contribute to the measurement of departmental/team performance, so that the highest possible individual and team objectives are achieved.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures.
• Conduct ad hoc audits and produce reports.
• Develop and promote an awareness of colleague requirements within the workplace.
• Ongoing measurement of supplier performance (materials & services) incorporating regular reviews & providing strategic recommendations to the business.

Key requirements:

• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Experience with inventory management & stock ordering systems.
• Excellent communication and customer delivery skills to meet expectations per time, quality and cost.
• Strong supervisory, organisational and administrative skills.
• Experience with customs handling/international shipping.
