Role: 2nd Line Engineer

Location: Worcester/Onsite

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced 2nd Line Engineer to join a great business based in Worcester.

Responsibilities: 2nd Line Engineer

• Assist with providing an efficient and effective IT support service including helpdesk ticket resolution for requester job requests
• Setup and maintenance of the IT network, desktop IT and audio-visual equipment, mobile devices, mobile phones, managed printing solution, associated hardware and software and connectivity
• Building, configuring, imaging and deploying all IT equipment including patching and software installations and updates
• Lead on the technical support and maintenance of the Foundation telecoms system
• User account queries, resetting passwords, account setups, investigations, troubleshooting
• Support Departments with their specific operational requirements including installation, set-up and support
• Support the IT Manager in the delivery of various projects as required
• Assist with maintaining an up-to-date asset register for all hardware and software
• Help users and visitors by providing appropriate information, support and training when required
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology and trends and developments in areas of interest.

Skills : 2nd line Engineer

• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of IT technical support processes.
• Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365.
• Familiar with desktop IT and audio-visual equipment, mobile devices and mobile phones. Willingness to learn and develop.
• Excellent communication skills, patience, tenacity and adaptability.
• A cheerful and resourceful team player who works with energy and enthusiasm and a steady, pragmatic attitude to problem solving.
