Network Engineer, CCNP, R&S, Firewall, Meraki, Immediate Start, Cambridge, FTE, £28-£40K per Annum

Our client, whose office is based in Cambridge, have an exciting opportunity and are looking for a Network Engineer to join their team in a full time, permanent role. This would be based in Cambridge, with hybrid working is also available, but there will be a requirement to travel to key customer sites around the UK, which the client will cover all expenses costs for. This role will be working across a large team and be customer facing, so communication will be crucial in becoming an integral part of the team. The salary range is between £28,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience.

The Role:

• You will be hands on in the configuration and installation of various network equipment, such as: Routers, Switches, Firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, load balancers, VPN, QoS.
• Having experience in Cisco ISE, Cisco Firepower and Cisco DNAC is advantageous, but not essential.
• Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Providing Level-2/3 support, and troubleshooting any issues through to resolution.
• Supporting in the completion of Wi-Fi surveys
• Carrying out general admin duties to the network infrastructure

The Person:

• Accredited to at least CCNP Level as a Network Engineer
• Previous experience in a similar role as a Network Engineer/Network Analyst/Senior Network Engineer
• Understanding of WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi concepts and technologies.
• Ability to travel across the UK to customer sites
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent Punctuality and Organisational skills.
• A positive can do attitude and flexibility in taking on a broad range of IT responsibilities and tasks at short notice.
