The purpose of this role is to design, build and/or migrate to new Hardware and Software solutions, integrating systems together to ensure an effective platform, maintain supportability and avoid obsolescence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating multiple vendor technologies, producing component designs and ensuring conformance to the platform architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Creates and owns technical solutions for a portfolio of work across a number of technology areas and delivers work autonomously.
• Integrates products, building end-to-end solutions to meet Customer or operational needs.
• Executes against project technical roadmap/delivery plan.
• Identifies design changes/improvements/updates required to keep in line with product support life cycles.
• Provides design assurance of the solutions.

Skills and experience:

• Design, Build and Implementation in the following:
• Microsoft Server 2016/2019 and version migration
• Advanced Microsoft AD including Group Policy definition and deployment
• MS SQL Server 2014 -2019 (including High Availability deployment) and version migration
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server and version migration
• VMware Infrastructure and version migration
• Desktop client deployment/build
• Deployment tools eg MDT/VM Templates
• Security build/hardening to compliance standards.
• Product Integration eg with security tools, AD, backup solutions
• PKI deployment Production of High and Low level designs, build guides Systems test & acceptance (VV&T)
