DevOps Architect / Lead (GCP Terraform Kubernetes Ansible) Hybrid / Bracknell to £125k + Bonus

Your Role:

As a DevOps Architect / Lead, you will head up a talented DevOps team of 5 engineers across various levels. This is a consultancy, client-facing position and therefore you will spend a lot of your time working directly with new and existing clients, including visiting them onsite.

This role is a split of hands-on and hands-off work involving people management duties, such as catch-ups, day to day management, and career development, whilst also overseeing P&L for your team's projects ensuring that they are cost effective and profitable. You will also be involved in the design and architecture level of projects and must be willing to get stuck in with hands-on engineering work where required, advising the team from a technical standpoint.

Office & WFH:

The company have offices based in Bracknell and London (you can work from either) however, you will only be expected to go into the office 2 - 3 days a week.

Requirements:

• You are an experienced DevOps Architect who has a hands-on engineering background
• You have previous experience managing engineering teams; motivating and mentoring them to succeed
• You must be from a consultancy background or at the least professional services where you have provided a service directly to a client yourself
• You are commercially minded and able to work closely with sales teams
• You have a solid understanding of GCP (will also consider AWS and Azure)
• You have experience using modern DevOps tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• You have exceptional communication skills
