Great opportunity to work as Solution Owner for a high profile, well-loved brand within IT Service Organization, based out of Dublin, Ireland. The Solution Owner is accountable for the E-2-E solution and supporting designs throughout the program life cycle.
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as technical lead/delivery solution owner for the delivery programme, working in-step with the Programme Manager
- Manage solution implementation design deliverables to budget and expected quality standards, through transition & transformation
- Work to an agreed set of Design Principals - to ensure compliance with all Fiscal and Regulatory requirements.
- The Design Authority will support Application Delivery, Infrastructure Delivery, Test & Validation and Deployment work steams on all aspects of the functional, non-functional and technical design
- They will act as the program point of contact for resolution of design issues.
- Ensure maintenance of the solution Blue Print for the solution which is formed from a suite of architecture and design documents
- Understand and advise the Program Lead of the consequences of decisions taken during the design and development of solution,
- Ensure that the high-level designs cover the scope of the solution to meet the RTM,
- Ensure high-level designs are managed through the program design review process (including both internal Design Approval Board and external Program Design Board processes)
- Maintenance of the RTM,
- Serve as the primary program interface to the customer on matters that potentially impact the design
- Act as a clearing house for design issues that impact the program, recommending actions, escalate to or, seek guidance from the Design Authority Board
- Resolve inter work stream design resourcing conflicts,
- Ensure design impacting of Change Requests are supported by fully costed plans,
- Act as an authority to approve exceptions from standard process for design decisions.
- Provide advice, guidance and oversight to architects (and their associated design/build/test/release activities) across the program work streams

- Application and Fiscal Architects
- Service and Security Architects
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, information technology discipline or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years' experience working in the IT industry, most of that time preferably in a senior architecture role
- Excellent communicator with both technical and non-technical teams
- The applicant will have application and infrastructure design experience, preferably with experience of delivering large scale retail point of sale solutions
