Data Management Office Support Coordinator

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates all data entry into computer system daily, including processing forms, gathering data and data entry.
a. Keys all day sheet data, verifying each input for accuracy. Follows up on missing day sheets to ensure visits are not missed. Identifies day sheet visits where demographic information is missing and procures and keys information.
b. Keys certification and recertification for treatment planning in a timely manner.
c. Keys cash receipts and adjustments daily.
d. Keys changes to active patient accounts, i.e. fee source changes, additional disciplines, etc.
e. Keys medications for each patient.
f. Reconciles number of charges, dollars, visit items, and hours on each batch.
g. Identifies, processes and keys year to date corrections monthly and notifies manager of said corrections.
2. Identifies and resolves edits.
a. Locates missing or inaccurate information.
b. Ensures that all corrections are made on the computer billing system.
c. Tracks unresolved edits, including Medicare electronic billing edits.
d. Notifies manager of any trends identified, including but not limited to inaccurate visit codes, charges, and patient record numbers.
3. Manages system printing, including printing and distributing reports.
.4. Meets all fiscal closing deadlines.
a. Prints and distributes certification and recertification reports for current month to ensure timely completion and review by clinical staff.
b. Prints and distributes all invoices that are to be sent on paper.
c. Prints and distributes Medicare electronic billing reports.
d. Prints and distributes all statistical and financial reports.
e. Prints and distributes all certifications and recertifications.
f. Prints and distributes all medication side effects for each patient.
5. Maintains current knowledge of third party requirements and ensures that data entered meets requirements.
6. Ensures the computer system is backed up daily.
