Job Description:

The Micro Learning team is seeking a Brightspace Administrator to be located in Columbia, MD. Micro Learning is an exciting new B2B product offering for Laureate. We are looking for a candidate that is a self-starter, interested in learning new learning concepts and works well in a fast pace environment. The candidate will be responsible for the new product set up in the LMS and eCommerce sites, user management, new feature implementation and production issue management. The candidate has demonstrated the ability to build trusting relationships with business stakeholders and external vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help configure the set-up of the new product in the LMS and eCommerce sites
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve business operations, administrative functions and end-user experiences on the LMS platform
    • Gather business requirements and translate into user stories for execution
  • Serve as the point of contact for all LMS related support issues; trouble shoot and resolve issue
    • Manage the LMS vendor relationship and escalation processes
  • Responsible f or testing the release of new features or bug fixes in the test and production environments
  • Lead and manage the integration of new e-learning applications
  • User management and permission settings management
  • Monitor for scheduled maintenance, upgrades or LMS feature updates that may impact our LMS org
  • Create, manage, and enforce LMS standards, policies, and procedures
  • Help define standard operating procedures for new business practices and technology integrations
  • Ensure LMS content is coherent and consistent with existing tools, policies, and initiatives
  • Consult with and support leadership in configuring solutions, courses and/or programs on our learning platform
  • Act as secondary content manager, ensuring learning entries are well organized, consistent, up-to-date and well-written
  • Manage content changes on the eCommerce site
  • Become the LMS subject matter expert (SME)
