The Opportunity Our award-winning Ascent Spa is seeking an experienced massage therapist who can offer genuine and friendly service. The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing services as outlined by his/her state licensure or certification. These are to include such services such as Swedish Massage, deep tissue or sports massage, aromatherapy treatments and body treatments.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Follow all Delaware North Parks and Resorts Environmental GreenPath, GuestPath, OSS, SERV, Code of Conduct, Core Values, Policies and Procedures.

Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.

Confer with clients about their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to determine how massage will be most helpful.

Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body.

Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.

Provide clients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises.

Use complementary aids, such as infrared lamps, wet compresses, ice, and whirlpool baths to promote clients' recovery, relaxation, and well-being.

Maintain a high level of product knowledge. Understand product ingredients and effectively explain their benefits to guests. Answer all guest questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner.

Ability to suggest other beneficial treatments/services offered by Ascent Spa.

Maintain all sanitation and HACCP documentation in accordance with California & DH&R health codes.

Perform all services on Ascent Spa service menu based on current licensing abilities as dictated by the State of California.

Perform services on Ascent Spa service menu as outlined in the treatment protocols.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Minimum 500 hours of Massage Training at a State Certified Massage Training School.: Required
2 plus years of experience in Spa Environment

Due to the location of the property in the mountains, some conditions may include traversing hills and/or slopes, significant heights and outdoor elements. Work environment will also include inside a climate-controlled building. Must be able to work at an elevation of 5,000 plus feet both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Majority of work will be conducted in a temperature controlled environment which consists of low volume noise level, varying scents and low lighting. Sensitive to modesty and privacy of guests
