USASBE Associate Administrative Specialist - College of Business & Economics - 15496 ATTENTION:

The United State Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) within UW-Whitewater's College of Business & Economics seeks an Associate Administrative Specialist.

JOB DETAILS:

The Associate Administrative Specialist will align the big picture with execution excellence every day. The specialist will work from USASBE's home office on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus and occasionally travel to support the USASBE Annual Conference and other meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualification(s): 3 years of experience in a business operations environment Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited universityFundraising support experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent writing skills.Experience working/communicating/problem solving with senior level executives.Strong organizational skills.Ability to use Microsoft products, computer software, run reports and maintain accurate data.Able to plan meetings and events.Proven ability to work without close supervision.Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability and willingness to travel as position demands. (5% overnight travel)Ability to work outside standard hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.Working knowledge and experience with event registrations system will be given favorable considerationWillingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drillsAbility to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the USASBE Associate Administrative Specialist will:

Provide administrative support for office operationsProvide accounting and financial supportProvide excellent customer service to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Members and SponsorsServe as lead for student employeesSupport meeting preparation, internal communications and key projects such as the annual conferenceEngage in professional development / apply knowledge gained to the performance of key duties DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:

CAMPUS INFORMATION:

UW-Whitewater is the largest regional comprehensive university within the UW System and enjoys a reputation as a high quality residential campus located near the scenic Kettle Moraine State Forest in southeastern Wisconsin. UW-Whitewater is situated on 400 acres of land and has an annual budget of more than $219 million. UW-Whitewater is located in the community of Whitewater, which has 14,622 residents and is within convenient driving distance to the metropolitan areas of Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago.
