A Sales Account Specialist is the face and first point of contact to our agent distributors with respect to the Policies & Procedures of HIIQ . In addition they are the problem solvers for any issue that an agent needs resolved, including licensing questions, commission questions, benefit questions, etc. A Sales Account Specialist specializes in service. At times, agents can be demanding, the Specialists must be able to "roll with the punches", remembering that the customer is always right.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Professionally administer all incoming and outgoing calls and emails according to department and company policies and proceduresResponsible for providing insight and product knowledge to all agentsFielding incoming calls regarding HIIQ as an administrator, our products, and opportunities to onboard new agentsBecome knowledgeable on all HIIQ products, processes and procedures not just in sales, but in various other departments within HIIQ to properly and professionally handle all agent inquiries, i.e. licensing, compliance, commissions, etc.Support outside sales reps and their accounts accordingly - giving the top 20 accounts special attentionAssist agents in cancels, voids, or withdrawals as necessaryCommunicates with agents using web-based tools and over the phoneMakes decisions to protect and collect agent personal information for the use of daily functions with agentsAssist management with maintaining, creating, and tracking various reports with regards to MGA and GA agenciesAssist all internal sales representatives with urgent issuesAssist with special products as requiredAssist agents with any contracting, appointment, or licensing questions when ableMaintain knowledge of claims processes and be able to advise agents accordinglyAbility to train agents on how to use ARIES/HIIQ back officeLearn to manipulate and build commission addendums specific to account reps/agenciesMaintain up-to-date knowledge on current commission levels and structuresSet up and maintain relations with individual direct agents set up under an IMO
Education and Work Experience:Minimum of two years previous experience, preferably working for an insurance agency or insurance company as an insurance agent or in an agent support role.Track record of resourceful and timely problem-solving and customer service interactionsEffective project management and time management skillsEffective verbal and written communication skills with excellent phone etiquetteAble to work with minimal supervision and as part of a teamDemonstrable competency in MS Office, Word and Excel as well as general PC skillsHigh attention to detail/follow-upHigh School Diploma or equivalent
Due to the nature of Health Insurance Innovations needs, regular and reliable attendance is required. Individuals must be able to work at least a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, and be available as situations arise requiring extended hours.
