American Medical Association Insurance (AMAI) has a dynamic opportunity for the right candidate as a Inside Sales Representative on the Brokerage Team working remotely from Indianapolis, IN. As part of the team, you will represent AMA Insurance to physicians and their families, generating sales through both inbound and outbound calls and an understanding of physicians' insurance coverage needs. Build the AMA's relationship with insurance clients by identifying cross-sell opportunities and leads for our marketing partners where appropriate to our customers. Facilitate processes leading to accepted applications and customer payments. Other Responsibilities will include: Meet and exceed sales targets by educating potential customers and supporting the application process: Follow up on all new leads and referrals resulting from inbound calls, events, webinars, and all advertising and marketing activities Select days, times, and communication channels most likely to reach potential customers; prioritize leads by quality and/or size of opportunity Develop and maintain talking points, FAQs, responses to common objections, and other sales materials to educate physicians and their families on our products and services and our advantages vs. competition Through inbound and outbound calls, make product recommendations meeting customer needs Post-sale, ensure client satisfaction; identify and close cross-sell and upsell opportunities Track customers and applications throughout the application process: Prepare quotes and applications in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate contract terms as required by industry regulations and AMAI policies Follow up with customers and underwriter after initial application to ensure any missing or additional data is provided, and to ensure underwriters accept applications and customers can make payments Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including lead generation, sales calls, applications provided, and closed sales via use of a designated technology Communicate sales pipeline activity and progress through weekly call reports and forecasts: REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years' demonstrated successful experience in telesales or other sales roles with an insurance focus Must be licensed and appointed in accordance with insurance laws and regulations in the state(s) of operation as defined by the Agency Strong ability to persuade potential customers of the value of products and services, including demonstrated ability to initiate, advance, and close sales Experience in tracking and working multiple leads and lead sources, and effectively managing the sales cycle in order to drive opportunities to closure in a timely way Able to acquire and maintain familiarity with physicians' insurance needs and related AMAI products Goal oriented, with proven sales track record of achieving sales quotas Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials, including customer letters, proposals and contract documents Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to develop relationships, especially in customer relations and internally with forecasting and reporting results Able to work a flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend hours Must have access to a home-based work station that is located in a room with a door to avoid distractions; must also have access to an internet connection and phone service
