Quality Manager - Cleburne, TX

The Quality Manager is accountable for those activities which have a bearing on product integrity and reliability through specific policies and procedures consistent with the overall objective of delivering products of the highest possible quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiencyOversee workers including supervisors, inspectors, or laboratory workers engaged in production activitiesCommunicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractorsCreate and implement inspection and testing criteria or proceduresDirect and document the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control dataDocument testing procedures, methodologies, criteria and other documentation as FMEA, control plans, Visual aids, inspection sheets, etc.Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these pointsIdentify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.Instruct/train personnel in quality control and analytical proceduresInstruct vendors or contractors on quality guidelines, testing procedures, or ways to eliminate deficienciesParticipate in the development of product specificationsProduce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trendsCreate, review and update standard operating procedures or quality assurance manualsCoordinate the selection and implementation of quality control equipment such as inspection gaugesGenerate and maintain quality control operating budgetsReview statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality controlCompiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities Education Requirements:
College Degree Major Desired: Engineering or related field Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience: Bachelor of Science degree2+ years of experience in Automotive industry5+ years of experience in a manufacturing organizationStrong project management skills, time management skills, detail orientation and organizational abilityInherent drive and initiative, desire to take ownership of projects Equal opportunity employer.
