Inspects, manages and sets priorities on all activities within Riverside Area shop operations. Coordinates projects occurring within these facilities while maintaining communications with all clients. Develops budgets and manages operating revenues. Supervises assigned trade personnel and ESW Supervisors. Makes recommendations on hiring, performance assessment, staff development, disciplines & terminations. Assists in the development of capital renewal program. Must be available for rotating on-call responsibilities. Must have working telephone. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and at least 4-5 years' experience in operations and maintenance of a large facility or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Under general direction and with considerable latitude for independent judgment: Plans, organizes and directs activities of O&M staff and ESW Supervisors in the planning, organization and production of maintenance, repair and alteration services within assigned areas. Arranges contractual services for operations and acts in the resolution of facilities maintenance problems.Makes on-site visits to ensure compliance with University standards and policies, especially with regard to safety and well-being. Inspects buildings and grounds for appropriate maintenance and cleanliness. Address deficiencies and identifies issues. Meets with Building Managers regularly to review condition and ensure customer needs are met.Assumes responsibility for the coordination of construction and capital projects for assigned areas. Works closely with other administrators and exercises budget control for assigned budgets. Assists in preparing recommendations for Capital renewal budgets.Works closely with the associates and Divisional Director in preparing recommendations for operations budget. Acts on audit reviews of the facilities' fiscal performance and other aspects of operations, making necessary corrections and improvements. Insures compliance with general, fiscal and personnel policy and procedure guidelines. Follows Federal, State and University regulations, codes and guidelines.Identifies possible trends and/or and makes presentations and recommendations. Maintains records for cost accounting, verification of billing and prepares and submits management reports as required. Maintains responsibility and tracking of bidding process including specifications and related records. Takes corrective actions as appropriate. Hires or makes recommendations on the hiring of the department staff, completes performance reviews and recommendations on promotions, salary and other personnel matters. Maintains necessary files to accomplish evaluations and appraisals. Consults and collaborates on recommendations for staff requirements, training and staff development. Determines composition and organization of staff and assigns responsibilities. Handles grievances and ensures constructive labor relations Category: Retail , Keywords: Store Manager
