The successful candidate will provide sound and commercially aware legal advice to all areas of the business, drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts and agreements. You will act as a business partner to teams within the business, identifying requirements for legal support and managing the overall provision of legal support to those teams. Candidates must be a qualified lawyer with post qualified experience. Ideally candidates will have trained in private practice and have since gained some in-house experience. This is a great opportunity for a commercial lawyer looking to build an in-house career in a supportive and encouraging environment with a number of opportunities for progression and development.
You will be acting as a business partner to one or more teams within the business with a view to proactively identifying requirements for legal support and managing overall provision of legal support to those teams. You will do this by Keeping up to date with legal developments relevant to Affinity Water's business and disseminating relevant information to teams within the business including through delivery of training sessions. It will be fast paced, challenging, but also, fun and rewarding - the team collaboration will guarantee the day flies by!
To be successful you will be awesome at engaging with people to establish an immediate rapport. You will need to deliver, quickly, effectively and always with a smile and friendly tone. It is your role to ensure Affinity Water receives sound and commercially aware legal advice to enable it to deliver a high quality water supply services to its customers in a legally compliant and efficient manner.
To join the team, you need to have experience in law and be a qualified solicitor. As you know, there are a number of areas within corporate law, if you have background in health and safety, criminal, dispute resolution or regulatory you could be the ideal candidate for us.
