High School level coursework
One Year of experience working in a food service environment preferred.
3.Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
*Ability to be active and on feet most of the day, lift, push, and pull light to medium weight objects; occasionally push and pull heavy weight objects.
*Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in in writing with patients, visitors, hospital staff, and co-workers.
*Must possess knowledge of and be in compliance with local, state, and federal food handling regulations (ie, HAACP).
*May require valid Ohio driver's license and proof of insurance.
4.Population Specific Competency
The incumbent will have the ability to effectively interact with populations of the patient (and his or her representative) with a sensitivity to the communication needs (other language, deaf or blind) and with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
