Conexus have partnered with a world leader in software development to source an Oil & Gas Architect to guide workshops and lead architectural initiatives as part of our SAP Greenfield implementation project.

About the role:

• Leading workshops and collaborative sessions with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define architecture, and establish the scope of the SAP Greenfield implementation.
• Developing comprehensive architectural designs and strategies that leverage SAP solutions to enhance downstream refining, distribution, and retail operations.
• Collaborating closely with technical experts, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between the architecture and our business objectives.
• Identifying potential challenges, risks, and opportunities associated with the SAP implementation and devising effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensuring that the architecture facilitates operational efficiency, scalability, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Providing expert guidance throughout the project life cycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing optimisation.

Requirements:

• Proven expertise in the Oil and Gas sector, with a strong background in downstream refining, distribution, and retail operations.
• Extensive experience with SAP solutions, particularly in Greenfield implementation projects.
• A deep understanding of industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically and critically.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant SAP modules and architectural tools.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (advanced degrees are a plus)
