Shift Information: Day Job

Mon - Fri 830a-5p


Position Summary :
Obtains Outpatient laboratory specimens by venipuncture as well as finger and heel punctures to include special procedure such as Blood Culture or Glucose Tolerance. Also obtains nasopharyngeal specimens (NPH) and throat cultures specimens. Preps patient to collect urine specimen. Places Lab orders into LIS in accordance with required procedures. Performs Glucometer Testing. Assists Radiology Imaging Technologists with patient transport, positioning, preps, processing of imaging CR plates, and other general support duties as required.

Hours: 8:30a-5p Mon - Fri

Position will work independently out of our North Canton Office

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant and/or Phlebotomy Program (or minimum of one year Phlebotomy experience) preferred. Background in medical terminology. Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills required. Prior experience with Hospital Information Systems and knowledge of Lab Test Ordering/Radiology Procedures preferred. BLS required.
