Position Summary:
Stark State College Akron is looking for a part time Afternoon Gateway Student Support Assistant. The individual will assist and guide students through the college community with the admissions application process, financial aid application process, registering for classes, and answering questions concerning admissions and financial aid eligibility issues. Each Assistant, in addition to serving students, has their own individual job responsibilities in the processing of student records.

These responsibilities may include:
document scanning and imaging, processing of applications, verification of eligibility, award processing, updating and reporting of student records, and student outreach. Each Assistant is cross trained in one or more areas of responsibility to ensure consistent and timely processing.

Education Requirements: Associate degree required from an accredited institution.

Field: Preferred in Business and Accounting.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements: A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in an office environment with a high functioning team.

Preferred Qualification: Knowledge of admissions and financial aid regulations and experience within a college environment. Experience with MS Office and data base software. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to multi-task.
