The Opportunity The job: Responsible for serving food and beverage in a professional and friendly manner at assigned banquet functions.
The basics:
*Reviews shift assignments and BEO's for menu details, etc. This will allow for preparation for the function; place settings, condiments, beverages, etc.
Assists the set up staff in table set up; buffet set up, etc.
Checks the quality of food before serving and prepares and serves beverages for the function.
Double checks tables at assigned station to ensure proper set up.
Maintain an \"open communication\" with the Banquet Captain and Lead Server, letting them know immediately of any changes or special dietary needs.
Serves the guest in a professional and efficient manner.
Follows up on any reasonable request while using proper serving techniques.
Makes supervisor aware of any request or changes by the guest.
Removes dirty dishes from the table as guest finish their meal or each course.
Cleans up after the function, sweep, mop, clean dishes from table, put everything away. (see side work and shift assignments)
Attends premeal briefing at beginning of shift. Attends company orientation and adheres to policies and procedures.

Friendly - Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward all Employees and Guests.
Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
Adaptability - Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred
Experience:
Banquet department experience required
Customer service experience required
Certifications & Licenses: Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
Other Requirements: Must be able to provide California Food Handlers Card.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will vary depending on section assignment and current weather conditions. Weather conditions may include, but not limited to snow, rain, sleet, hail, wind, sun shade, cool, and warm. Due to the location of the property in the mountains, some sections may include traversing hills and/or slopes. Must be able to work at an altitude of 5000+ elevation. Work in a fast-paced environment serving multiple guests at the same time. Serving internal and external guests in both an indoor and outdoor environment in a positive atmosphere. Multi-tasking and communication between other associates throughout the shift. High noise levels at times.
