The Opportunity JOB TITLE: PICNIC ATTENDANT

REPORTS TO: CATERING SALES MANAGER
UNION/NON-UNION: NON-UNION
PAY RANGE: $10.00
SHIFT/HOURS REQUIRED: DAY AND NIGHT EVENTS
AGE REQUIREMENT (IF APPLIC): 18+

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Catering Manager or Level Supervisor, serves food and beverage in the Comerica Park picnic areas in accordance with the Company's Guest Path Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Food & Beverage Service Duties
Greets guests
Sets up picnic area in accordance with the departments Operational Standards
Serves food and beverage items, following proper sanitation guidelines
Acquaints guests with items being served
Performs clean-up duties in the picnic areas to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bartender Duties (if applicable)
Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
Properly records inventory of all sales and spoilage. Accounts for all transactions; maintains accurate cash count and balance banks at end of shift.
Collects the proper money for the beverage items; processes credit card or determines correct change for guests.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Shows flexibility by rotating to other picnic areas/job positions when necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Some knowledge of Food and Beverage/Catering

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company's Guest Path Universal Service Standards
Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests.
Ability to work effectively with others
Ability to work in fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
Ability to remain stationary for entire length of shift
Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on season
May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces
Pay Rate: $11.70
