Summary of the role:

We are looking for an experienced Renewable Solution Architect to join our dedicated and talented team. This is a key position in helping us to expand NCG Energy s customer footprint at a critical time for the business. NCG is currently going through an exciting fund raising round and set for a sustained period of growth, as we takes on more established industry players. The successful candidate will be a highly efficient self-starter, with a knowledge of a broad range of sustainability solutions. They must be analytical, approachable and client-facing, ready to take on the challenge of working in a start-up environment, supporting our sales team and project director as we grow into new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help create attractive propositions and solution design for solar, battery and EV projects, backed by solid ROI calculations, customer benefits and project deliverables
• Use of software to design solar deployments
• Configuration of SaaS platforms tech background desirable but training provided
• Help drive significant growth by supporting the sales team and commercial director in important pitches
• Leading technical surveys and collaborate effectively to deliver excellent engineered solutions
• Liaise with DNOs, Electricity Supply Board and handle Grid Connections where relevant
• Work closely with the fulfilment teams, e.g., internal and external 3rd parties, responsible for the successful and safe installation of solar and storage systems in client facilities.
• Work with the commercial director and project director to identify the best partners and manufacturers for our eco-system
• Drive the thought leadership around financing Solar, Battery and monitoring systems, in time making the proposition accessible and attractive to a scale volume of NCG Energy clients
• Stay abreast of relevant policy consultations and decisions that help NCG Energy adapt to the environment in which we operate.

Ideal candidate will be/have the following:

• Significant background in the renewable energy industry, specifically with regards to solar PV installations, battery storage and monitoring systems.
• Ideally have worked in the commercial solar sector.
• Experience in a startup, fast paced and tech based environment.
• Ideally have a sound technical knowledge of both hardware and software solutions relevant to renewable generation.
• A strong working knowledge of standards and accreditations requirements
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage audiences at senior exec and C suite level.
• Able to operate at a high level independently.
• Skilled at writing with an ability to explain complex topics and issues in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to plans and able to respond confidently and positively to changing scenarios.
• Hold a full driving license.
