We are currently looking for an Engineer to join our team based at our Ashford office. The position itself will include, but not be limited to:
- Support the engineering service function of Project Centre in the delivery of highways design and civil engineering support for a range of highways related design projects.
- Provide support and project related task management for junior staff and to undertake technical tasks assigned by project managers and senior managers within Project Centre.
- To have financial and commercial awareness of project delivery to ensure tasks are delivered within fixed time limits and to a high standard of quality.
- The role requires a detailed knowledge of highways and traffic engineering and the ability to assist to develop schemes from inception through to completion.
- Day to day supervision and management of junior staff and assistant engineers, along with co-ordination of project delivery where other design teams or service areas are involved.
- Degree or equivalent
- Experience within Highways (ideally at least 3 years)
- Working towards professional membership ICE/ CIHT
- Technical knowledge of highways engineering
- Expert CAD user
- Civils 3D user
- Experience in professional discipline
- Skills and experience in people management
- Knowledge and experience of financial management.
- £Negotiable and subject to experience
