Directs financial reporting functions for the Holy Cross Medical Group.

In conjunction with the Holy Cross Medical Group CMO and Practice Administrator, directs the operations practice management directors and managers in developing the HCMG strategic plan and operating Budget, responsible for the financial planning component.

In conjunction with the Executive Director Central Billing Office, coordinates reimbursement, patient accounting and cashiering.

Directs financial accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate reporting of physician practice financial information.

Directs the preparation of statistical information and reports for management, government and other agencies.

Directs and develops subordinate staff.

Directs, forecasts, and analyses the impact of special projects or new services and acquisitions; e.g., new physician acquisitions, and equipment purchases.

Minimum Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field. CPA preferred.

* Knowledge: Knowledge of the principles of financial management sufficient to direct professional staff and coordinates all aspects involved with fiscal requirements of physician practice. Knowledge of physician practice financial and budget, analyze financial data and patterns, and prepare financial statements. Knowledge of physician practice's strategic business objectives and employee performance objectives. Knowledge of governmental and health care fiscal regulations and reporting requirements. Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems programs and applications. Should have five (5) or more years in a multi-specialty group practice or hospital based physician group.

* Skills: Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieving practice objectives. Skill in evaluating practice operations as they relate to policies, goals and objectives, costs, and rate levels. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, health system staff and the public. Skill in identifying and resolving accounting and financial problems.

* Abilities: Ability to create a practice atmosphere which encourages motivation, innovation, and high performance. Ability to delegate responsibility and authorize staff. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
