Southeast Georgia Health System has an opportunity for a Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join our Southeast Georgia Physician Associates- Obstetrics & Gynecology team in Brunswick!

Summary: Responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment and care planning by following established standards and practices. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements.

The Ambulatory RN performs the following essential responsibilities:

  • Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Obtains and documents pertinent information during patient triage including following established protocols of the practice.
  • Follows treatment plan as ordered by provider. Administers and documents prescribed medications. Ensures that all charges are captured accurately and completely.
  • Consults with providers to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and providers.
  • Educates patients about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Accurately documents patient assessment according to practice protocol. Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Appropriately handles patient care related phone calls.

The ideal Ambulatory RN candidate will possess the following minimal requirements:
  • Graduate of a Diploma or Associate's Degree Nursing Program
  • Minimum of one year professional nursing experience preferred. Physician practice experience desired.
  • Current RN license to practice in the State of Georgia.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Nursing skills as defined in the law governing the practice of nursing in Georgia.
