Our Lady of Peace is currently hiring for a PRN varies Mental Health Tech on the Float Pool/Resource Team.

The facility offers the most comprehensive array of psychiatric treatment and substance abuse services in the state, including specialized programs and services along the full continuum of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming for all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Float Pool/Resource Team works all inpatient areas based on staffing needs. Includes adults, children, and adolescent units with an array of behavioral disorders and mental illness, including dual diagnosis, acute psychiatric disorders, suicidality/depression, and substance use disorders. This also includes work with children and adolescents with developmental disability, autism, brain injuries, and fetal alcohol syndrome.
Mental Health Tech: Provides delegated components of nursing care to patients including monitoring, specimen collection, psycho-education, assistance with activities of daily living and behavior management in accordance with physician orders and established nursing policies and procedures. Care provided is based on defined standards of patient care and practice.
Minimum Requirements for Mental Health Tech 1:
High School Diploma or GED and
1 year social services experience required.
15 college credit hours required.
Minimum Requirements for Mental Health Tech 2:
2 years of social services experience with 1 year in direct patient care experience required.
If 60 college credit hours, 1 year of direct patient care experience required.
If Bachelor's degree in social services field, direct patient care experience preferred.
