Senior Oracle DBA.
As a Senior Oracle DBA you are part of the Infrastructure team within which you will be engaged for further implementation and operational management of the Oracle Back End environment.
Continuous evaluation of hosted database to define upgrades, changes & extensions and to put forward improvement proposals
Drawing up feasibility studies and evaluating various software and hardware solutions that can meet the needs of the database infrastructure
Maintaining the specific Oracle documentation. Define and maintain the necessary operational procedures
Drawing up technical design in line with the specific architecture requirements for databases
Thinking critically about possible improvement in procedures & methods within projects and within one's own
You provide support in the daily management of the Oracle environment and you will actively participate in ongoing projects
You provide advice regarding database design where necessary
You actively contribute to improvements in the platform
You have at least a graduate level (preferably in computer science), preferably with a master's degree or have demonstrable experience.
You have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in:
- Oracle RBMS management, installation, upgrade and migration work.
- Thorough Oracle knowledge in the field of
RDBMS v11.x and 12.x
Oracle features such as partitioning, spatial and ASM
OEM v12/13 incl. Packs
OVM 3.3 or higher
Goldengate v11 or higher
SQL performance tuning
- Thorough OS knowledge based on OL 6.x/7.x and RHEL
- OS knowledge based on Windows (Windows Server 2012 and higher)
- Shell Scripting (Korn, Bash, ..)
Knowledge of other Database environments such as MySQL & MS-SQL is a plus.
Basic knowledge of storage architecture (SAN & Storage virtualization),
Basic knowledge of backup architecture and functionalities
Network: Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, VLAN allocation
Knowledge of and familiar with the ITIL v3 methodology
You have insight into and interest in IS trends
Sense of initiative and good communication skills
You integrate quickly into a team.
You can express yourself fluently in Dutch, English and French (preferred)
