SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York, the college has approximately 10,000 students annually, and serves over 4,000 full-time and nearly 3,000 part-time students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Public Services, Health Sciences, and STEM, programs. An additional 10,000 students are served through the college's community education and non-credit programs.
SUNY Broome Community College has an immediate opening for a full-time, 12 month Assistant Registrar. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Services, the Assistant Registrar is responsible for fostering implementation of SUNY initiatives and mandates; building articulation equivalences; supervising the daily collection, storage and distribution of student academic records; assists with the development of the college master schedule and course catalog; implements and updates computer software programs utilized in the department; assists with student registration, attendance taking, grading and academic functions of the office; develops and maintains reports pertaining to courses, programs, and student academic records; builds and maintains academic audits, coordinates and builds academic plans, and adds course equivalencies. Other job duties include supervising and evaluating office clerical staff, course and program maintenance, assisting the Director of Enrollment Services in planning and carrying out assigned tasks, acts for the Director of Enrollment Services in his/her absence. Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, education, public administration or related field is required. Master's degree preferred. Three to five years in higher education or related work experience required. Experience with student record keeping, curriculum issues, transfer articulation practices and community college experience preferred. Minimum salary $55,423. Salary dependent upon qualifications.
