Shift Information: Evening Job
4-8 hour long shifts. Evening times.
Provides care to patients as delegated by and under the direction of a Registered Nurse or as delegated by and under the supervision of a physician. Provides wound care and suturing of non-complex wounds and orthopedic injuries as delegated by an under the supervision of the attending physician. Assists in the provision of patient and family education under the direction and supervision of a physician or Registered Nurse. Takes and records vital signs and weight/height. Performs vision screening evaluations. Performs phlebotomy, and obtains nasopharyngeal and other specimens for testing. Administers vaccines and medications, including antibiotics, as directed by the physician according to policy and procedure. Maintains the clinical and exam areas. Documents test results on medical record. Answers basic health care questions via phone for parents using pre-approved guidelines. Performs other assigned tasks to promote efficient practice operation and contribute to the provision of quality patient care. Assists with filing and appointment scheduling as needed and as time permits.
Schedule: 4-8 hour long shifts. Evening times.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Medical Assistant or equivalent education, training, or experience including paramedic, EMT or military training required. Basic communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills required. Must be able to work as part of a team and interact with people in a friendly, supportive manner at all times. Must have or obtain BLS certification and phlebotomy training prior to completion of orientation.
