Responsibilities Fossil Generation's Training Department is looking for an Instructor II/Sr at Four Corners Power Plant who will analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs. Ensure personnel are trained in a safe and effective manner that is in accordance with business needs, site procedures, industry standards, and any applicable apprenticeship program standards.

Instructor II Minimum Qualifications

AA/AS degree or educational equivalent in training related field and two years of experience in training delivery and course development.Must possess technical writing and verbal communication skills.Proven working knowledge of systematic approach to training.Proficient in PC software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently to statewide APS locations.Experience at a journeyman level trade will be required for technical training positions.

Detailed knowledge of the maintenance and operations of the systems that comprise a large generating unit for Maintenance and Operations. Preferences

Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the instructional design process using the ADDIE development method. Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and provide examples of lesson plans developed in current or prior position.
Major Accountabilities

Designs, develops and conducts training classes and develops materials to support new and incumbent employees in a variety of safety and or technical skills. Develops and conducts training courses relative to the electric utility industry including industry events, lessons learned and human performance improvement initiatives.Analyze, design, develop and implement training programs in accordance with appropriate regulations and standards with a systematic approach to training. May include the design and delivery of apprenticeship programs.Supports activities of other teams and external customers to ensure overall training needs are met.Evaluate and analyze training materials and modify/enhance when needed. Conduct evaluations of trainingFacilitates training program administration; may include apprenticeship training administration.Conducts evaluation and remediation (when required) of student performance.May assist Leader with Apprentice rotation entrance/exit interviews and field visits to ensure training effectiveness.Promote training/line partnership by developing professional rapport with all levels of employees and leadersProvides guidance and support to line management and CAP/HP management on training related issues.Must maintain instructor qualifications and technical proficiency in the assigned discipline.Assists in formal training assessments and evaluations at a Business Unit level.Export Compliance/EEO This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, "U.S. Export Control Laws").
